Local restaurant Thread pulled?

Folks,

I guess one of my restaurant reviews got pulled. It was factual, while not necessarily complimentary. Seems that the management of the place, in spite of its insistence and shills promoting it as new and improved, couldn't stand up to objective scrutiny.

It's bad enough being a bad restaurant. Being a sore loser shows even more about the management's character. I have sent a copy of the review that was pulled to the national head quarters.

 

That does not seem right at all - we all have been known from time to time to give unfavorable reviews of our experience with local businesses - was there any explanation to you about why your's was singled out for removal?

 

They ASKED for people to come back and try the restaurant again. I guess the truth hurts. :?

 

I take it that this was a pizza chain that had the intials PI? I think most of us now have Zero reasons for even considering them part of the community.

It sounds like they are in denial as to who has the problem.

 

Are you kidding me? the Pizza Inn one got pulled? this is really starting to get ridiculous.....:roll:

Well, the thread may just be well hidden. I searched for it and couldn't find it. My recollection is that we were posting this in the hood, so that unregistered (virtuous virgins) had no access to it.

Yep, invitation to try them out. Anyone care to bet that if the review was positive, that they'd be printing copies and direct mailing them to the community? Yeah, they got called out and were found wanting. And then had the lack of courage to stand for their convictions.

didn't some other, maybe more personal kind of stuff come up after the review was posted? i seem to remember something, but i'm not sure where the conversation went in the last 12 to 16 hours. maybe it wasn't the review itself, maybe it was some of the personal talk about the staff. i think names were mentioned, maybe that's the no-no...

 

ya know, you are probably right....though I didnt see any names mentioned. I do see that someone is missing today that knew the details of the story of which said thread was possibly snatched...

If dangerboy is correct would you please post a summary of your review for us? Our schedule does not lend towards home cooking as much as I would like right now and I need to know what my fellow 4042ers think of a restaurant. Nothing personal, just the facts.

Oh, and let us know which one please.

I was reading that particular thread on Wednesday I think it was, trying to get caught up on it and what the review was, when all of a sudden, I tried to go to the last page, and was denied. So it was definatly pulled, not lost.

 

As to the social situation, I can not say.
My review did include the names of two employees, one whose service has always been outstanding. The other, whom I mentioned by name, was handling cash at the register, handling plates, and picking up trash and food off the floor. I did not see him wash his hands between these tasks. I watched to see if he would wash his hands. He did, for a period of about 15-20 seconds, go in back. It is possible that he did a brief hand wash at that point. It's effectiveness, given the length of time is suspect.
The overall appearance was less than desirable. The food there, was as it has always been. The lack of attention to detail, i.e. numerous items on the salad bar empty, lettuce brown, the lack of variety on the main meal bar, the lack of dessert choices..

Bottom line..I feel like we were invited in to see the new and improved place. If the management considers it new and improved, they are high.

It's the S-squared, D-squared restaurant.

We won't return.

 

Okay. Been away for a short while. Can I get a name of the restaurant and location please?

Guess we will have to pull all threads where names are mentioned, then. Even if it is displayed on a tag on their shirt for the public to see. We can just go back to descriptions, like the pale, balding bartender at CDH. :lol:

Sherry...Pm'd ya. Didn't want anyone else to even mention the name of the place. I figure if they can't handle the light of publicity, as they earn it, then they get no mention from me.
