There's so much negativity in the world right now, I wanted to give a shout out to a local business! And no, I don't own it or know the people that do...!

I went there Friday night, it was my second time there, and I laughed so hard that I thought I was going to throw up, literally! This was my second trip there, and the first time was about 6 months ago. The comedianne we saw that night was hysterical as well! I've been to Charlie Goodnights probably 4 times, and always enjoyed it, but hubby and I agree that LOL gets BETTER comedians than Goodnights do!

Unfortunately, Friday night LOL was dead, and we're assuming it was because of the basketball games going on, the sports bars were probably packed. So if you get a chance, everyone should go check this place out. It's close to home, and it's great entertainment! And if this guy ever comes back around again, his name was Shaun Jones, he was a riot! He said he's been here 3 or 4 times, and so happy he keeps coming, cause there's soooo much to do in Clayton (haha!) while he's here!

The whole reason we ended up going again was because they came by the office selling those circle cards (??) with 8 bogo coupons for $30, which is a steal cause it's normally $12 for one person, so if you get the opportunity to buy one of those, grab it! We're wishing we had bought more than 1. Don't worry, it's legit, we used it the other night, even talked to the owner about it. And we did the same thing with the Mudcats last year, just a way to get more people into the businesses.

I have to agree. I have been there 4 times now. This is the best entertainment around. It's something different from the movies at about the same price. The food isn't bad either. The early show is clean (not squeeky) and smoke free. If you are ever looking for something different close to home that doesn't cost a fortune. I recommend you give it a try.

Yeah, I've heard James Gregory (not in person) and he is hysterical! They said he's been there before, would love to see him live.

fyi: the owner said Goodnight's has new owners, and a lot of the "better" comedians that are used to going through there aren't real happy with him for some reason. So they might start getting them at LOL. I guess there's some unwritten rule that comedians can't or won't go to comedy clubs that are so close to one another. So if they go to Raleigh, they won't go to Clayton. He did say they're working on some big names, but wouldn't say who. I think their website was www.laughoutloudofficial.com, or something like that.
