My daughter needs her 6 yr checkup. Fortunately/unfortunately I've gone back to work as a teacher, so I'm not really in a position to take time off to take her for her physical. I called her regular pediatrican, Jeffers Mann and Artman to see if they had anything open during the Christmas break, and they said they were not scheduling physicals during that Christmas break time. I find that hard to believe...has anyone else heard of this? So, does anyone have any suggestions? I will probably call the doc's office tomorrow and ask to talk with a manager to see if they can make an exception.
I thought the urgent care centers gave physicals. So you can go when is convenient for you. Give one a call and see what they say.
I don't know about new patients, but my son is going to his dr, Dr Harris at Horizon on the 31st for his physical. I just called yesterday and they had that available. If you want to try them, their number is 359-1011 and they open at 8:30-5:30.

If there's nothing wrong that you're needing checked out and you have no major concerns, why not wait until the summer when you're both out? My kids' doctor recommends holding off on physicals for my winter babies until the spring/summer anyway due to the germs that can be picked up in her office during the winter from all the sick kids coming in. Just a thought . . .
My son went to Clayton Peds (Jeffers & Mann) until last year when he turned 6. I switched him to Horizon where my husband and I already went. I always wanted to take him during the "holiday" time for his well check but was never able to get anything during that time other than sick apt.
