We have already posted this in the classifieds, so don't get your knickers in a bunch! We have a refrig we are looking to donate. We have tried to sell it outright with no takers (frig is in great condition and will sell for cheap). We need to have it gone by this weekend, preferably on Friday or Saturday a.m. 'Salvation Army' does not pickup on those days, 'Goodwill' does not take large appliances, 'Habitat' in Wake will only pickup donations in Wake Co, 'Vietnam Vets' only takes small appliances. Would love to sell it, but at this point we are just looking for somewhere to donate it. It works great, Whirlpool, white in color, side-by-side design, about 9 yrs old. Any ideas, fellow Clevelanders?
hmmm what about a local church. maybe you could call around and ask if any of them need an extra fridge or maybe they have some needy families that could use it???
Have you called that mission place at 42 they may know someone who needs one. If you advertise it in the classifieds as free someone will want it. Also try some repair shops they fix and resale them when they are broke so they would most likely want one thats already working.
I donated a working (with issues) refrigerator to Remnant on the Rock 772-0004 last year. They came to my house and picked it up. They also provided a tax receipt for the donation. It was for their food panty.
Ron at Basic needs was looking for one a while back. They need it for the food bank. When I donated mine, he came and got it, but I am not sure if they still have their van. www.4042needs.org
