It looks like our house kitty got out for real this time. She isn't hiding from the repairman in the couch. I have no idea exactly when or why she would have gone from house. The few times she walked out with us she ran back to the door quickly. I was moving furniture and vacuuming and thought she was in hiding but we looked Friday through today and no sign of her in house or neighborhood. I put out notices on the mailboxes but nothing from anyone. I think someone called last night but the number was unknown and they didn't leave a message.

    Samanatha Kitty - female
7yo splotched tabby - shorthair but fuzzy; around 12 pounds - has a soft belly
Brown/black spot on side and stripes and swirls in fur
Squarish face - we were told she had some Maine Coon cat in her
Is used to people and big dogs - may have walked up to one without much thought.
No collar - was always inside. Fully vaccinated. I think she was microchipped when she was spayed.

I keep looking in the garage and the cabinents hoping she shows but there is only so much she could hide behind. I've left a message with County animal control - not sure where else to check.

    Keep an eye out please.

    Thank you -

    Martha

When we first moved here to PA, our indoor cat, Boots, got scared, got out, and had a 5 day adventure in the woods. I went to the hardware store and bought a few "Have a Heart" traps and baited them with his favorite Fancy Feast. Sure enough, we caught him! Found out later he was lounging out on a neighbor's back porch on the couch by the hot tub and stealing food from their Rottie. We were worried sick that a fox or bobcat in the woods would get him, especially since he's strictly a housepet. We saw him stalking turkeys a few times, and he wouldn't come to us. Even trying to find him with a neighbor's tracking dog didn't work. Only the traps worked. Hope this helps.
