At Dr Wells, beside the coke machine. Very tame, has a tag around his leg. Ill upload pic in just a minute. White bird about 8 inches tall. Red eyes and legs. Anyone know what kind of bird it is?

Cant figure out how to upload the pic. Found this online. Looks alot like this albino dove. He had about the same tag as this one.

I came across a tame bird (pigeon) and took it to the animal shelter in Smithfield, and one of the employees immediately showed concern for it and assured me that they would make sure that it went to appropriate folks.

I did not take the bird from where I saw him. Just thought I would let anyone know where it was, that might have been looking for him.

    Lost Bird

Thank You I rode out to DR Wells and it is not there anymore. I spoke to my husband and he said the bird came home thursday afternoon. This bird is a white pigeon (we release them at funeral and weddings, we are training all the young birds to come home (and yes they do return to my home). My husband drove to 42/40 and released them on Wednesday and this one just took a wrong turn (or heard so much about DR Wells he went to check it out lol) but the bird is home now! He is doing fine and has been released at 40/42 twice more and came straight home. Thank you again.
