Not saying its wrong, but it just seems weird to me to hang out and drink beer at a grocery store. there must have been 15-20 people in there last night at 6. Its busy all the time around 6 when i might be stopping by to get milk or bread etc. on the way home from work.
I agree. It looks a bit trashy and out of place. IMO, an upscale grocery store doesn't need a bar inside.
I think that Lowe's Foods did an excellent job with rebranding their stores to encourage interaction between shoppers. They've got that nice large table where they're cooking things up, which is great for business, but that beer bar in their 42/50 store is hilarious! For some reason, shoppers have managed to turn it into a bonafide, tiny brewpub, where they not only knock back a couple of cold ones, but also have some pretty lively conversations going on. In fact, it's become so popular that they've had to add a few more tables. All they need is a little music! Lol. Can't see why anybody would complain about people getting together and having a little fun like that. Not trashy at all, but part of Lowe's plan to bring folks together.
Yeah, because every parent getting groceries wants to encounter a bar atmosphere with their 3 year old.
Oh settle down, "mouth man" warlock! That's hardly the case at that itty bitty beer speck in Lowe's Foods. Why there's nothing I can't tolerate than a man with an opinion! Lol.
Not only the 42/50 store. I notice that their other stores seem to have a lot of Customers at the Beer Bar also. Perhaps because FREE beer (samples) draws a lot of Customers.
