This is for the loser who sits in the lawn chair at the 40/42 interchange with his 'jesus saves' yadda yadda signs. Actions speak louder than words, obviously you have enough time on your hands so why not volunteer for charity work or actually do something that physically makes a difference since you are a Jesus worshipper, isnt that what your savior would do? We should all thank this man for helping to decrease property values and justifying the stereotypes regarding backwoods NC.

Spreading the word of God is what Jesus would want him to do.

Speaking of stereotypes, way to fulfill those about your type.

I am thankful that I was worshipping MY Lord with others who were worshipping THEIR Lord during the same time that you took precious time out of YOUR day to post this thread. I just took pecious time out of MY day to pray for you. I mean that with all sincerity. Do not attack me. God bless that man that sat out there ALL day yesterday in that heat just to remind everyone that Jesus loves them. His reward will be in Heaven. I'll just bet that he may spend time ministering in that way but he also probably spends time giving in other ways to show God's love. I also suspect he spends an awful lot of time on his knees praying for those he has such a burden for. "Judge not lest ye be judged."

    Carry on......................

Shame on you NY9 for being so critical of a person who apparently loves life, loves God, and loves spreading the joy. Who are you to judge and call someone a "lowlife" and a "loser"?

If someone is a "lowlife" and a "loser" because they sit in a lawn chair that has "jesus saves" on the back of it.....what does that make someone who starts an anonymous post about it on an internet forum?????

Who are we to hold the measuring stick to judge a man's (or woman's) integrity or sincerity? I'm not exactly sure of the man you refer to, but if he is guilty of nothing more than holding a sign saying something simple like, "Jesus Saves" that isn't even being judgemental to you. That is unless you're feeling self-conviction by the sign. I certainly wouldn't call him a "low life" based on your description. Throw that label on those who disrespect our service men and women or burn our flag. I think your topic label best describes someone like that.

If thats the way he chooses to 'spread the word' then I have no problem with it. There are worse ways to do it. I've been downtown to the courthouse a few times and there's always someone out front yelling and preaching - so to me at least, this man's way does not bother me. I'd rather see him than those folks that are collecting money for their 'fundraisers' walking around and approaching my car.

Maybe he does volunteer in other ways - how would you know? Or, maybe he has physical limitations that keep him from volunteering in other areas?

theres a place to spread your word. I could do plenty of things on the corner where he sits that would have people on here rioting but I guess its OK for him because you agree with his message. Didnt Jesus say something about not flaunting his message? Sitting on the corner of the busiest intersection in the area with big signs stating a non-universal message is flaunting, plain and simple.

Mark 16:15 And he [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Its like this NY9, as already stated, his message could have been much more judgmental. However, something saying "Jesus Saves" will be uplifting to some and simply dismissed by others. I don't really see how such a sign could be so inflammatory, but you have a right to your opinion. However, so does he.

I seen him out there packing up to leave yesterday around 7:30. He was having a hard time carrying everything away. I was going to stop to help him, but by the time the light finally turned he had managed to get everything back to his vehicle.

If they guy is not doing anything wrong, leave him alone. He has a right to be there as long as the owner of the property doesn't object.

    bigger question

Bigger question NY9.......why does THAT message, "JESUS SAVES", REALLY bother you?

  19. I was going to put my two cents in as soon I read the original post, but looks like yall did a great job of defending this witness for Jesus. Thank you. What he is doing is what the Bible says to do. If only more of us Christians had the discipline and risked persecution the way he does. I am only feel sorry for people who have a problem with him. NY9 needs our prayers.
