I am posting this message for informational purposes without intent to offend. I am just trying to get the message across to those in North Carolina with Lyme Disease and figure there is a small possibility that some here may have positive Western Blot tests for Lyme.

If you or anyone you know has Lyme Disease, please refer them to this website:

    http://carolinalyme.org/blog/2009/01/call-for-action-request-for-positive-lyme-lab-results/

Here is what it says in it's entirety.

Call For Action - Request For Positive Lyme Lab Results

To all residents of North Carolina - the state of North Carolina will now allow a county to be designated endemic for Lyme disease if only two residents living in a county have laboratory confirmed blood tests. The test reports that must be positive are the ELISA and Western Blot tests. If you know anyone who has been diagnosed with Lyme disease with positive blood tests, please have them contact the CarolinaLyme.org organization. Your case will be reviewed to see if it meets CDC and state criteria to be counted. This action will allow increased understanding of Lyme in NC and help residents obtain proper diagnosis and treatment. Many residents are currently forced to go out of state because doctors fail to recognize Lyme disease in NC. If you know anyone who had to leave our state or who was diagnosed but their doctor did not report the case, please let them know of our request. Even if you believe your doctor reported your case to the state, please contact us to confirm your test was counted.Your time and effort in this project will help hundreds of residents in our state.

Anyone who has tested positive for Lyme since January of 2008 please contact CarolinaLyme.org via the “Contact Us” tab. Please provide a phone number and a brief description of your medical case. Your participation is crucial . Get the word out to family and friends who may have positive labs to support their diagnosis of Lyme . This is a tremendous opportunity and step forward, not only for North Carolina but for all residents living in the South. Please contact CarolineLyme.org with questions concerning this request.
