Ok...(being a proud parent of a band student), I want to wish Clayton HS (yea Comets) and West Johnston the best of luck in Indianapolis at the Bands of America Grand Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. There are 3 NC high schools going. The other school is Croaton (hope I spelled it right) HS. I know that WJHS and CHS will do Johnston county proud! I know I am partial to Clayton, (as you know my son is a SR there), but I do wish with all well. WJHS plays Thursday and CHS plays on Friday. Unfortunatley I won't be there to watch WJHS, due to when we are traveling, but will be there to watch CHS. Best of luck to all the NC kids!!! Do our state proud!!!!

Clayton didn't go to Cary this year. They went to Western Harnett HS, and like WJHS, we also took the show. We have got some great schools and kids representing Johnston county! I got to see WJHS show at the Clayton Classic and enjoyed it.

Clayton leaves around 6:30 tomorrow, so not quite as early this year! Long trip though. We are going to my grandmother's and staying with her. She lives 2 hours from Indy, so will will drive the other 2 hours to the dome on Friday and then back to her house and so on. Am looking forward to it though!! Yea for our Johnston County Bands!
