I enjoyed the book .. havent been to the movie yet. May wait til it comes out on video, so I can cry in the comfort of my own home while hugging the stuffin' out of my own pups. ;)

I bawled my eyes out. It was a great movie all the way around.

  7. Not sure if i want to see a happy/sad dog story.
I have lost several dogs over the many years and it never gets easier with their passing.

Also I kind of live a sad/happy dog story every time I take my Laila out and have to recant to someone how she lost her leg and part of her shoulder bone. And how she got the scaring on her back. I say sad/happy cause it was so sad how it all came about but so happy that she has entered my life. And to see how her will to live.

My step sister and her hubby, an ex-Marine, State Trooper - went to see it with their daughters and their boyfriends, she told me that every one of them, including her tough-guy hubby was crying.

My dad saw it last weekend and admitted he cried too - he said anyone who doesn't tear up watching Old Yeller, or Marley and Me just ain't human.
