Classmate and I see it differently. The half life is 5.24 days. She says the .24 is 2400ths of a day and I am saying that .24 is equal to 1 hour. So I am thinking it is 5.24 days is 121 hours. Any opinions?
I would say that it's 5 and 24 100ths (not 2400ths). How would you express 5 hours using your logic, if .24 is one hour?
121 hours divided by 5.24 days would make 1 day equal 23.09 hours. 5,24 days is 125 hours 45 minutes 36 seconds
I'm with your classmate. 5.24 days = 5 days and 5.76 hours (24 hrs x .24 = 5.76 hrs) = 125.76 hrs I've never seen a mathematical equation with a decimal where one side of the decimal was in one unit such as days, and the other side of the decimal was in a different unit.
I was looking at the .24 as 1/24th of a day hence 1 hour and I know she was looking at the .24 as 24 100ths the more I look at it I am starting to see where my logic is failing. Cause if it was 5.50 days that would be 5 days 12 hours and 5.25 would be 5 days 6 hours
