Someone on Freecycle needs to find a new home for her 6 month female black lab. According to what she told me, they are moving to a new city, and the apt complex won't take big dogs, which I have heard before. My problem...kids and I REALLY want a dog. DH is not so keen on the idea. He's out of town for the next 2 weeks. What would you do? The kids and I are going to visit with the dog tomorrow. What kinds of reactions/interactions should I be looking for with my kids an the dog? About 6 months ago we had to give away a 6 month old male yellow lab because he was too rough for my kids (even after 2 attempts at training). Does the female vs male thing (female being kinder/gentler) really play out? Thanks...
