Was wondering if anyone has ever bought the frozen BBQ from McCall's. Buying frozen saves $1 per pint and since I need 20 lbs., that savings could go toward the slaw, tea, etc. An added bonus for me is that I could pick it up on Friday and not have to rush around on Saturday, the day of my party. One part of me thinks that they wouldn't offer the frozen if it wasn't going to be as good as the fresh stuff, but another part of me just isn't sure...any input would be greatly appreciated!
No, but I've bought it from Nahunta. I think it was BOGO or Buy one get one 1/2 off. It seemed like a good deal at the time.
Call Stephensons on Hwy 50. IMHO they have the best BBQ around. I do not know if they freeze it though. You can get cold BBQ and then freeze it yourself. Good Luck!
A lot of Bar-b-q places ship their product, frozen and packed in dry ice. If there was a compromise in quality, I don't think they would do it, and no one would buy it.
