I have an older computer and want to add another memory card to it to speed it up. There are 2 slots. 1 of the memory cards is larger than the other, does it matter which one goes in the #1 slot and which in the #2? Stupid question I know but I don;t know much about computers. Thanks! :)

The height of the module doesn't matter. What does matter is the 'specs' of each. If some of the specs are different, you may have problems, i.e 'freezing', BSOD ("blue screen of death"), etc.

What you could do is download and run Belarc Advisory. It will tell you all the specs of your pc and alot of the software you have on it. It will even give you the mother board mfg and model number. You could then go to the mb mfg web page and do a search on the mb model. That would tell you exactly what kind of memory you could use in it.
