I am thinking about buying a metal detector and wondered if anyone else around here had this hobby. I bought one two years ago, but I had a time consuming job back then and didn't get much chance to use it. It's one of those things you have to practice at to get good, and I didn't have time for that...so I wasn't very good. I sold mine, but recently I've become interested in picking the hobby back up. I have a 9 - 5'er now and have the time, I just want to be sure I really have the patience for it again. I wanted to see if there's anyone in the 4042 family that has a detector that is just sitting around doing nothing. If you're willing, I'd like to borrow it next weekend. I will leave a security deposit if necessary. The only reason I want to borrow instead of buy right off the bat is simple: If I pay $200.00 again for something that ends up selling on Craig's List for $125.00, Mrs. S will have me living under a bridge somewhere! :lol:
