Saturday morning, May 26, 10-11 a.m. at Cleveland Library: This is a great chance for children to meet this rare and unusual dog breed and participate in the See Spot Read program, where children select and read a short story or children's book to Brella. The program helps children develop their oral reading skills. Brella is a Dandie Dinmont Terrier, one of the rare breeds of the dog world. She works at SE Regional Library and Southgate Library in Wake County and at Cleveland Library in Johnston. Brella has North Carolina and International Certifiction at the highest level for a therapy dog and is ready to start work at Rex Cancer Center. She has been representing the breed for the American Kennel Club and Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club of America in North Carolina exhibits. Her partner is National Board Certified English Teacher, Sandra Still, formerly from Johnston County Schools, now working in Wake County Schools. Call 919-661-6565 for more information or go to Brella's page at: http://4042needs.org/library/therapy_dog/index.html or the See Spot Read site at: http://www.seespotread.com/
