How many parents that have defended their children and claimed the charges are inaccurate have been proven inaccurate? I will wait until all the facts are in to have sympathy for this family. Prank calls are one thing. But these are more serious calls than prank calls.

    From the Article:
"He was not calling schools and doing that," Annette Lundeby said, although she did acknowledge her son, Ashton Lundeby, made prank phone calls on the Internet and charged a "small fee."
"I knew that he made crank calls," she said. "I don't know what teenager hasn't."

Parents like this drive me nuts. She knew he was breaking the law. She knew it was wrong ... but instead of behaving like a parent, she just looked the other way. I hate it when parents do that and then use sorry, lame excuses like "Boys will be Boys" or "He's just behaving like a typicle teen" .... If her child was breaking the law & she knew about it she should have done something to stop him. She was probably somehow impressed with her son's creative money making idea. Somebody should beat his MaMa with a stupid stick. Now her child's future may be ruined & I'm sure the legal fees will far outweigh any money he made with his stupidity.
