i saw that on the News today - it was so adorable and kudos to the 911 operator for understanding the little one on the first try:-D
I read that story also, it gave me goose bumps.... I think that is an amazing story, thanks for sharing.
This is a great story. as a former 911 dispatcher i taked to many children and it is a fact that if you teach your child about 911 and the proper use of it the result is that it can save your life. as a 911 person (now retired) i could always tell when the school talked to the kids about 911 because when they got home from school they would call 911 and test it out. (smile) I have spoken to many parents when there child was playing and dialed 911 and the parents would get angry. I would tell them DO NOT get angry. just talk to your child about 911 and educate them on when to use 911. BUT do not make children afraid to call 911 because the one time you need them to call they may be afraid and not call. thanks. macy
I heard long time ago back in my babysitting days that 911 is the most accidentally dialed number by babies learning what a phone is. Because there 2 little thumbs go straight to the 9 & 1. I'm trying to teach my 5 year old to use a nextel. SHEESH!
