    wow ... that was interesting

But was a total turn off on the #1 dog having a muzzle on ... guess that was to make it appear more ferocious then the others.......

A few of the top 20 surprised me such as the Border Collie and Greyhound.

I didn't quite understand the rankings, but do agree with #1.

I don't know about greyhounds, but have been bitten many times by border collies.

I was suprised about the border collies too. My sister has had 2 Mastiffs. One was a big baby(female). The other one (male) scares the **** out of me. :? She also has a pit bull mix that seems sweet (they told her it was a boxer mix at the shelter, um no!) But she doesn't have many unwanted visitors either.

OK, I'm a geek, but their statistics are suspect.

They used the # of AKC registered dogs as a baseline, but used incident stats from a different source which totally queers the calculations. For example, the 6th most dangerous dog -the greyhound- is based on 1 incident for a population of only 136 animals.

The formula should be simply total # of attacks per breed / total # of dogs by breed.

    It's BS.

IIRC, the most "dangerous" dog is the labrador retriever, just because there are a bazillion of them out there (I have two- I call them "BLAB-radors" because they never SHUT UP!
