I was wondering if anyone knows of any churches in the 40/42 area that offer a mother's morning out program. I'm not looking for something where you go so many days a week every week. I'm looking for a drop-in program for my two year old for times when I have drs appts or want to shop alone, etc. My friend in SC has one in her town where she can drop her son off anytime Mon - Thurs mornings and it costs $10 for the morning. I was hoping to find something like that around here. Thanks for any help!!!
There is a place behind Food Lion in the shopping center at exit 312 called Up and Away Indoor Play. Hourly Drop Off is $6/hr and Moms Morning Out is $20 for 9-1. They also have Date Night and Preschool. It looks clean, has good toys, and the operator is supposed to be an experienced nanny and childcare provider. The only drawback I could see(I stopped in with my older kids) is that the ratio is 10-1 but it is probably fine for a short time. I have also heard lots of good things about Screaming Mimi's but don't know many details.
Thanks Pickle, i could not remember the name of that place - if the same woman is still running it that was there a year ago, she is great and you could not be safer leaving your children.
Great, that makes me feel better. I ended up not needing it then but you never know. I know there is also a helper working there sometimes but she seems very nice and competent. I happen to have a flyer right in front of me if there are any other questions. There is also a Stay and Play where moms can pay $5 to stay there with their kids to play all day. I guess that is a good sign-they wouldn't want mothers in there otherwise.
