I see a lot of us ride...

What do you ride now, what did you ride before and what do you want to ride next?

What's Kool/ stupid in motorcycling these days?

Where do you ride? Where do you ride to?

Me? I've been riding too dang long for most sensible people (3 decades now). First and best bike was an RD350. Current bike is an SV650 w/80K miles! Next bike might be a ZRX1200 since I can't find the money for an FLHPI and I want a two up ride.

    You?

1st bike was a yellow Honda 50 - too small for me

2nd one was a Red, Honda mini-trail 70! Prettiest piece of machinery I'd ever seen. 3-spd auto, tough as nails, road many, many miles around my community as a kid

3rd was a 1977, brand new, burgandy Honda 750, 4 cyl, wished I'd never sold it.

Been missing bikes ever since, but Wake Co's too crowded for me.

Maybe later when my DD goes to college.

Started on a Honda in 75. Driving a 94 Yamaha Virago, now- bought it new. Had an 1100, sold it. Still putting weed and feed on the 750 trying to grow it into a V-Star...:)

Cool is biking with friends of similar outlook. Doesn't matter what you ride, just that you ride. Riding safely, within weather, speed and other elements we control. Charity rides to benefit others.

Uncool: speeding, uncontrolled behavior, bad attitudes, snobbishness because you ride a bike with a name different than other bikers. When some of our community forget that ratty scoots up to multi-thousand dollars bikes are a part of a community at large, not insulated snobs.
Uncool to not return a wave, if it's safe to do so. Our inability to be as indestructible as we are invisible. People who disregard safe driving/riding habits.

The Virago 750 was/is a classic design, an air cooled 90 degree SOHC vee twin. I always felt the early ones were the spiritual heir to the late, great XS 650, particularly in silver for some reason.

...and +1 to everything else! I wave (within reason, of course!) to anyone with two wheels and a license plate.

I just started riding about 2 1/2 years ago. My bike is a Kawasaki 800 Vulcan Classic. It is the only bike I have owned but recently I have gotten the itch for a Harley Road King Classic or a Heritage. I would settle for a Soft Tail Standard.

I generally use it to commute to work in Durham from McGee's X-roads. This past spring I made a 3 day trip to the mountains and plan on doing that again next year. Other riding involves going down into Sampson on some farm roads or a loop to the coast.

Ya'll ride safe now, ya hear?

I've got an 03 Softail Standard for sale. Let me know if you want pictures of it and info.

We've got an 03 Softail Standard and an 81 Shovelhead (in pieces). It's almost back together now.

We havent rode much this summer for some reason. I love being on the bike with DH.

My first bike was an 83 Honda Shadow 600, great little bike. Dropped it a couple of times, FREAKED out and sold it. Yes, I know. :banghead: I just needed the bike lowered about 2 inches and would have been fine. :?

DH has a beautiful Yamaha V-Star Classic 1100, had the V-Star 600 prior, some dirt bikes and way back a Ninja 600.

I've never been on it...................well............except for that one night. 8)

    lowered center of gravity

What C6 loves about the Virago is that both her feet are firmly on the ground when she's starting it or stopped at a light. Plus the Mustang seat. and the usual driver (me :) ) most of all...lol
