My Brownie Girl Scout troop is brand spanking new, and we are seeking a place to meet. If anyone knows of a place that will provide us with a free meeting space, or if you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks! :)

Have you asked about fellowship halls at churches? Maybe you can ask at your church or perhaps call around to churches in the community.

Thank you Breezy. I don't belong to a church to ask. :( I did think of asking churches in the community, but I don't know anything about any of them really, so I don't know where to begin. I was hoping someone here might know of a church that has space and does this. :)

Are you looking for a location in the 40/42 area, Clayton or Garner? I assume you need a location close to where your Brownies live.

Around the 40/42 area would be ideal since we have girls from the Cleveland and McGees areas.

I was thinking about Rainbow Lanes when I asked you where your brownies live in the event you live in Clayton. KDog beat me to the post.
My wife was a Brownie Scout leader when our girls were growing up. She had the meetings in our home. Other mothers also hosted some of the meetings in their home. Our experience has been that churches are reluctant to get involved in hosting these type meetings unless one of their members is involved. Otherwise a staff member has to open the church if the meeting is in the evening. If you meet in the afternoon ask the parents of your Brownies if they are members of a church. If so, maybe you can use their facilities.
    Good luck!

When I was in the Jaycees Rainbow lanes did not charge us. They might not charge you since its a civic organization.

Ask Ms. Haynes if y'all could meet at the middle school. There is no telling, she might let you. Or you could ask Mr. Weakley about the elementary.

I thought of that, but wasn't sure if that was possible since we meet at night, but I guess I will never know if I don't call and ask right? LOL Thanks Uber! :)
