Myspace Pictures

I'm new at this: Hackers are getting in through your photos now....

I usually don't post anything just like to read what people are thinking or doing thru the week.

Someone is hacking into pictures and posting other pictures underneath the original ones that you uploaded.

I found 2 on mine.

To find out if this happened to you, follow these steps.

Go to edit profile.

On the right hand side near the top, Click "Safe Edit Mode"
Then click Images. If you see your caption, but a different picture, that pic needs to be deleted.

To delete it, go to your home page.

Click add/edit photos.
Then you delete the ones that had a different picture than you had.

When you go to add/edit photos the pictures you see will still be the ones you put up but just delete them and then reload them and it won't be hacked into.
Just check it doesn't hurt to check.

Sheesh, I had two on mine too. Why would anyone want to do that? Stupid little punks...:roll:

 

My guess would be that if the page is marked private that it more than likely won't happen.

Could be wrong, but doubt it.

javascript. myspace explicitly blocks javascript, but there are a few ways around it floating around right now. this javascript functions under the myspace permission set for myspace cookies, allowing them to capture your cookie and use it as their own. Neat trick. mostly propagated as a tracker, while most trackers are completely legal and just an attempt to take the legal and freely available information and putting it together to figure out who's looking at your profile a few sites are claiming to do it 100% and thats because of cookie capturing.

 

My page is private, and I had one on there.

 

Almost all my pics were replaced with others! Daaaaang! At least they weren't of anything bad. Thanks for the info JessieJames.

So, is the picture posting just for kicks, or what? I don't get what good that does anyone. Am I showing my age by asking this, cause I sure don't get the whole picture hacking thing.

 

When I do all that I don't see any pics at all...

*sigh* If I could hack the last place I'd hack would be myspace... too much other fun to be had :twisted:

 

me too, I just have x's and when I try to "show pictures" it doesn't work. hmmm...

 

mine were not showing because they were all different. I had to delete them all. thanks for the heads up! I will pass it on to my list.
