National Speaker to Promote Good Character in Schools

    SMITHFIELD-- Motivational speaker Tina Seldin Cash will take her
    musical, interactive assembly on good character throughout the Johnston
    County Schools starting tomorrow, January 11.

    Her song lyrics reinforce the meaning and importance of kindness,
    courage, integrity, good judgment, perseverance, self-discipline,
    respect, and responsibility. Students will learn simple portions of
    songs to sing along; they will also be given the opportunity to share
    personal experiences.

    "My goal is to positively influence youngsters with concepts that
    will lead them to make better choices, build strong character, and
    ultimately become upstanding, proud citizens," said Cash.

    Cash's program, targeted to third through fifth graders, will be
    presented at the following schools:

    Meadow, January 11, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    Corinth-Holders, January 12, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    Glendale-Kenly Elementary, January 14, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    McGee's Elementary, January 25, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    Cleveland Elementary, February 2, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    Princeton, February 2, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    Selma Elementary, February 3, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    Polenta Elementary, February 3, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    East Clayton, February 4, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    Benson Elementary, February 8, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    River Dell Elementary, February 11, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    Riverwood Elementary, February 15, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
    Cooper Elementary, February 24, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
    Four Oaks Elementary, February 25, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
