I remember in past years you could stand in long lines at the malls to purchase reduced State Fair tickets in advance. A neighbor told me today that this year we can order the tickets on-line & print them out at home. I just went out to http://www.ncstatefair.org and purchased tickets for my family. My son can't wait - He's finally tall enough to ride on some of the cool rides
And pay an extra $1 for every ticket, or book of ride tickets. A woman I work with went to the Triangle Town Center mall and bought all her tickets and she said the line was 2 people infront of her, and it was quick. (she went at lunch-time one day early this past week)
Tassy - You are correct - it does cost $1 more for each ticket on line than it does to go to the mall. However purchasing the ride tickets in advance on-line is still W-A-Y cheaper than buying them at the fair. I don't make frequent visits to the mall & I as much as I meant to do it - I never made it to the mall last year to purchase tickets. In the end - I paid full price. It was really convenient for me to just by the tickets on-line this year. I'd probably spend a lot more than $1 on stuff I don't need if I walked into the Mall For those who are frequent shoppers - or if a visit to the Mall is convenient - that's probably still the best way to purchase tickets. However, shopping on-line works out much better for me.
Well we don't ride enough at the fair to make it worth our while to buy tickets in advance. I personally go to the fair for the food, lol..... And the exhibits too.......
