NC50 closed at Church/Dixon intersection???

Anyone know what happened (TODAY) at ~3:30pm??
All traffic was routed onto Church or Dixon.

 

heard it was 4 high school kids,very serious,2 were transported by helicopter

looked like a head on wreck in front of the church. life flight from wake med landed. i was on the other road but could see hwy 50 and the church. horrible looking wreck.

they said on the news that these were West Johnston students.

 

Just watched the clip on TV5.
Looked like a silver Honda Accord maybe & a dark green car - not sure what kind of car.

I think what they said on the news was that it was 3 WJHS students and the female driver of the other car crossed the center line. The teen tried to avoid the other car and they hit head on. Other driver and one student were transported, student not seriously hurt. I was watching while at the gym on the treadmill, but thats what I understood.

I told my DH I worry about my DD going away to college next yr, but with all the wrecks around here - maybe she'd be safer somewhere else...:?

 

All I know so far is that one student is named Mitch and one is Joe. Friends daughter has heard from one of the kids parents. PRAY PEOPLE PRAY:grouphug:

How horrible, very sad. my prayors go out to them, there families and there friends. may God Lift them in there time of need.

What vehicle were the teens in? I know someone that drives a car like the silver one and she lives down the road from where this happened!
