Any suggestions? I know there is a special drill bit that can be purchased, but was trying to get it done without having to purchase it.

    Thanks!!

Ask an employee at Lowe's Home Improvement or Home Depot. They might be able to help.

Be very careful! A few years ago we were making those glass blocks with Christmas lights in them and we bought that bit and ended up shattering most of the blocks. I would pay to have a professional do it. I don't think Lowe's will do it.

Did you use water at the same time? We made a bunch of those as well for gifts. DH drilled and I stood there with a spray bottle wetting them down at the same time. Maybe we were just lucky, but we didn't break any, just a thought if you decide to try again.

We did try the water thing once but the water kept getting in the hole and it made smudges on the inside of the block. We finally just gave up.

I bought a diamond core drill bit and it does not break the glass
