I have been busy getting rid of all my stuff the last couple weeks, you're late! The only thing I have left is an infant stroller, it's the big one that you can snap an infant carseat into, made by Graco. It's in good shape, but has been used by 3 babies (not so much the 3rd time around), so it needs to be cleaned up, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I think the wheels are squeaky, might need some WD40, can't remember it's been so long since I used it! You're welcome to it if you want it. That's all I've got, just gave away an almost new infant car seat, tried selling it online and no one wanted it. Oh, the stroller is navy blue plaid.

I have a highchair that you could have that needs to be cleaned but is perfectly fine, just has been sitting in my garage. You'd just have to pick up. I probably could dig out some toys as well.

Have you tried Social Services or the Salvation Army?

I have 2 strollers. One's an umbrella stroller and the other is one of the Graco ones. The graco one needs a little more cleaning but can be done. I just gave a pile of toddler clothes away but will see if I can find anything else. You are welcomed to the strollers. Just come pick up.

    Good luck!

I think this is the same person that has run a ad in the classifieds. It's for her daughter if I'm correct.

I am sorry for not including more information in my dicussion topic. The reason I am looking for FREE baby items, is because my daughter, who is pregnant, can't afford anything right now. She was working, and when she found out she was pregnant, she took a doctor's note to her employer, along with the info" no heavy lifting" . Her employer did not accept that and fired her. So, she tried to find another job, but most employers won't hire anyone who is already pregnant, unless she was employed with them at the time. EXCEPT FOR THE JOB she did have and they fired her. So this is why I we are in need of free baby items. I would help her, believe me I would, but I am a 38 yr. old mom on disability for my back. And I can't work . THANKS EVERYONE AGAIN...THANK YOU...

Does that company have an HR dept? Because you can't necessarily be fired for being pregnant. Barring that, she may need to get a lawyer. Something sounds a bit fishy.

Check with Basic Needs Ministry, they may be able to help her.

I know too. I even went in there to talk to them( manager & assistant manager) and they refused to talk to me.( acting like they were too busy)even when I told them that I would like to talk to them. So I left it as that. But really, I believe I need to check in on it...IT DOES SOUND FISHY!!!!

No offense intended at all, but actually, unless she is underage, SHE needs to check into it. I've worked in HR in the past, and they probably aren't going to discuss this with her mother. 8)

I would contact the unemployment office , They can not fire her for being pregnant and not being able to lift heavy things ! That's unbelievable !

On another note i have lots of baby boy clothes 0-12 months and a very adorable walker for later , also a baby bath , and might be able to find some other things . Let me know when you can pick them up

It is beyond fishy....it is against the law to fire someone because they are pregnant. Pregnancy is to be deemed as any other disablity (modified job tasks, assignments, etc.)

Here is a link to pregnancy discrimination facts.

    BUT

NC is an employment at will state, so they can basically fire you because they don't like the way you wore your hair, as long as they can prove that's why they did it.

On a side note, after the Kids Exchange sale this weekend, I might have some things she can have.

I saw your ad in the classifieds, you said you needed maternity clothes as well, I'll be delivering in a few weeks, you're welcome to what I have, I didnt buy much this time around, maybe a couple pr's of capri's, pr of jeans and shorts, couple tops, all XL. Also, I might have an extra infant car seat, I have to check and see if I still have it. PM me if you're interested :)

I have not heard anything from this person despite having a very good high chair. Anyone else?
