I need to get my 7yo daughter involved in something that involves other kids - some type of class, maybe. She cheers for basketball season in Kenly, but I'd like something different. But not the kind of money it would take for ballet, etc. Do you know of any ceramics or crafty type of classes that are reasonable? We live in Kenly, but also travel to Smithfield/Clayton/Garner etc. for different things, so other cities are not out of the question.
How about 4H or Girl Scouts? I am new to the area so I'm not sure what is around here. I have seen some crafty things at the YMCA. Anyone else got some better ideas?
Seven is the perfect age (I guess) for the Girl Scouts if its anything like the Cub Scouts. All that you say you seek is all rolled into one. I was in the Cub Scouts at 7 and stayed in it for 2 or 3 years. Didn't quite stay in til making the Boy Scouts, but it was fun. Is she involved in music? Now is a great time to be cultivating music talent while she is young and can quickly absorb things like learning to read music. Mine is already learning one instrument and soon likely to start a second.
