Our truck needs work on it's transmission,are there any shops around that specialize in it that anyone here can recommend? I read all the posts about Brian the mechanic but my husband said we would probably need someone that specializes in transmissions. Thanks in advance!
I will tell you that Jennings Transmissions in Goldsboro has been in business a long time. That may be kind of far, but I think they are highly regarded and since a transmission is (hopefully) not something you have repaired that often, you might want to consider them if the vehicle is no longer under warranty.
i absolutely love Mike at Mike's Transmissions up on 42 behind Bojangles near the Basic Needs store - he has been up there forever and really knows his stuff. When we had transmission problems with our Dodge Truck, others told us we had to replace the whole transmission but Mike took it apart and replaced just what needed replacing for a very very reasonable price and was very quick at doing it:hurray:
