We found a cute dog last week in our neighborhood, posted signs etc and nobody has claimed him. We just can't keep him, for various reasons. Any idea of local places to take him? The SPCA will not return any calls.

    Thank you for your help.

You can fill out a report for the spca here..... (wake county)

http://www.spcawake.org/lost.html there are also links for other organizations to contact on there.

If you can, bring it to a vet to see if it has a microchip.

You can also call vets in the area, to see if the owner reported a missing dog that is similar.

    Good luck.

I was going to post that link too, but Sadie is a girl and walloon called the dog they found a he. Of course, some people call all animals, regardless of their gender, "he" or "she" so maybe it is Sadie.

no he doesn't fit those descriptions

I should have posted one with my original message.

He is a reddish brown, meduim to small dog, very sweet, perky ears. White chest.

Looks like a pure bred to me, but I am no expert, and I can't place the breed.

    And no collar.

    thank you!

All dogs are boys, all cats are girls.

Has he been neutered? Does he look like someone's pet, or a stray? If you think he may be someone's pet I may be able to foster him for a few weeks.

Have you checked the classifieds on 4042???

Good Luck, I tied one to a tree (because we were leaving) and someone called AC on me? The dog got loose, went to the next street and then to the shelter then found a new home! Good ending!

    Im babbling... sorry.

Call Second Chance adoptions. They have helped my sister with a dog she found.
