Not exciting to me because we really don't care for either one but heard tonight that Neptune is now Mayflower. The 2 "little old ladies" that told me were there last Friday night and said the food was good and there was a crowd.

I was thinking that they were owned by the same people anyway...just operating under two different names. I may be wrong, though. The other Neptune is in Goldsboro (I think) and in Wilson and Rocky Mount, they are Mayflower. I'll be heading to Goldsboro this week. I'll look and see if its changed names as well.

Wonder if they still have that disgusting homemade cocktail sauce???

That is the only thing I always hated about The Mayflower. Their cocktail sauce was nasty! I would bring in my own bottle from home if I were to stumble in to eat there!

I had heard the same thing when Neptunes opened too I think, that they were owned by Mayflower. Mayflower is also on 401 in Garner too. I've never been a big fan of fried fish....so it's not one of my favorites.

We've eaten at the Mayflower in Garner maybe twice. Second time we went, there was some sort of police activity in the parking lot, we went on in and our server told us a patron had been stabbed by a homeless guy in the parking lot!:shock::shock: We haven't been back. Nothing against the restaurant, but it gave me the creeps.

Neptunes was/is on Hwy 70 Business going into Smt. Mayflower in Garner is on 401, near Kmart and the new Walmart.

We've eaten there occasionally, but not something I want on regular basis.

Mayflower is also out Captial Blvd near Adventure Landing, that one has been there for a long time.

I think the mayflower on Capital and the one in Garner are two completely differant places.

Two different "places", yes... but owned by the same company. I just called and asked.

It's a chain, there's one near Winston Salem too.
