I know there is a new Elementary school opening on Vinson Road this coming year. Does anyone know where I can find the new districts of who will go where next year? Thanks!
I don't think the school board has discussed the new attendence area yet. They will have a public hearing before anything is adopted.
I have not driven down Vinson Road in ages... Where is the school, general landmarks, near which church, etc? Will that new ELEM school take some "Clayton" kids out of Polenta? Any idea?
It turns off Barber Mill Road, If it is the road I'm thinking of... I'm sure someone will correct me if that is wrong.
Vinson Road is off of Glen Laurel Drive. Not sure about taking kids away from Polenta, but will hopefully take kids away from East Clayton as that is so overcrowded now.
It will mainly draw students from the overcrowded East Clayton. Right now it is not anticipated to change the overcrowding at West Clayton. Of course, WCES only has 6 mobile classrooms and ECES has over 20!
WCES is landlocked. No room for trailers. Also - I don't know where one can be found for public use, BUT WCES has a map for school area boundaries dated up to 2014.
