new HS at Cleveland area

where will the proposed next new HS be located?

 

They're doing the one over at Archer Lodge first. No definite location on the one proposed for Cleveland...

 

The tentative location is in the 50-210 area (near McGee's)...2011 is the prospective opening date.

Town of Clayton Planning Board approved new Elementary School on Vinson Road on Monday night. Will now go to Town Council for approval. The site will also have a Middle School in the future.

I heard the same thing, Indian Camp & Polenta in the curve.

Polenta at Indian Camp sure is close to West Johnston, but with Polenta, Cleveland and Westview elementary schools so close together nothing would surprise me.

 

It'll be interesting to see how/where they draw the boundary lines for the new HS. My kiddo will be due to start HS about the time the new one will be done.

 

Speaking of boundary lines, my youngest is in high school at clayton and her teachers were telling her that the boundary lines for this new school year were changing and to expect a call or letter in the mail for possible reassignment.

WJHS is in the area you describe...........50/210 near McGees.

 

just what we need.......another school at an intersection that is already hazardous at best.

 

Well, the map they have posted at McGee's Middle has a BIG star on the corner of Hwy 50 and Hwy 210 for the proposed new high school to open in 2011. I agree that it is very close to West (less than 5 miles...probably less than 3). There may be another one more toward Clayton. My primary concern was the one in my neighborhood, so that's the one I noticed.

They should put that map up on the school system's web page.
