While driving through 4042 today I noticed a kid's consignment shop near Dairy Queen. Called Joey's kids, or something like that. Anyone know anything about it? Is it open yet, do they have nice stuff? I don't usually go to consignment shops, do they pay for kids clothes, or are they just donated? I have some stuff to get rid of, so I was just curious how it works. And is it just clothes? Is their stuff nice, I have a really hard time finding things that fit my youngest, even with 2 older brothers I still have to buy him his pants new usually because he's thinner than the other two were, so was thinking about checking that place out. Anyone been in there yet?
I was in last week. I bought my daughter a pair of pants, some footed jammies and a kindergarten level workbook for my son.
My husband runs the Capitol Pools store just a couple doors down. He says it's a really nice little shop with good clothes and good prices. He's met the girl who is running the place and said she's really nice. We are pregnant now so I plan to go in there and see what I can find for infant clothes.
I'll probably go in next week with some stuff to sell. I did send a PM yesterday and got a reply from her. She explained to me how it works, so now I know! I've never done it before, and haven't been in a consignment shop in years, but I can't have a yard sale here where I live, and stuff is piling up, so might as well get rid of it. And I have a hard time finding things that fit my little one, so might as well check them out while I'm in there. In these hard times I like to help out my local shops.
