Just wanted to throw out there that for you locals in the Benson Dunn area (and for those who don't mind a little drive for some good music), that there is a new music club in Dunn. It is right off I-95 at exit 73. It is the old restaraunt attached to the Ramada Inn right off the exit. The owners name is Joe Nelson and he is a music promoter and decided to give this a whirl to see what he could do to bring some good music the area. What you will hear there is Southern Rock, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, Classic R&B and Country. He has only been open for about three weeks or so and has already figured out that the top 40 dance/funk stuff does not go over well at all. He does charge a cover but that is to cover the cost for the bands. It is a restaraunt so there is no bar to "slide up to" but the waitress will take care of your alcoholic needs from the bar in the hotel. Nice sit-down place with a dance floor and a fantastic sound system. He is only open on Thursday (karaoke), Friday (live bands) and Saturday (live bands). The band schedule is as follows: Feb 23 - Gavinheart Feb 24 - Bad Mojo March 2 - Robbie Reid Band March 17 - Sayer McShane March 24 - Sayer McShane Come check the place out.
