White Oak maybe? I saw some apartment buildings under construction last time I drove back there. And I think there was a medical building or something as well. And a Burlington Coat Factory as well. Also Cabelas and a hotel are coming to the 70/white oak intersection http://business.garnerchamber.com/news/details/burlington-to-open-at-white-oak-crossing-next-fall http://www.garnercleveland.com/2014/01/14/3532196/council-notes-more-retail-to-neighbor.html http://www.garnercleveland.com/2013/09/20/3212101/garner-clears-way-for-hotel-at.html http://www.garnercleveland.com/2013/11/01/3331519/bid-for-major-white-oak-road-project.html http://www.newsobserver.com/2013/10/24/3308238/cabelas-to-open-first-nc-store.html
It's going to be Burlington Coat Factory, a dollar store (Dollar Tree??), and Staples is moving over there into a smaller store. That's what I was told. In other words, whoop dee friggin doo!
I agree! I would have rather had the Home Goods back but then again we REALLY DO need another Dollar Store! :x
Agreed... I've never found anything at Burlington Coat Factory even worth the discounted prices. Not to mention, there is already a Ross and TJ Maxx for that. Both of which I would go to before going to BCF. The BCF stores I have been in, both Raleigh & Cary always seem to be understaffed and I've seen neater flea markets. I've been to both stores a few times.
I think there should be some sort of grocery store put there; that would be most convenient. A Wegman's would be ideal, but I know they are not planning to expand into this state. A shame, as they have awesome hoagies!
That's true,it would be very convenient to have a grocery store there, thought about that many times while shopping at White Oak! A Publix would be nice also!
Compared to other such shopping centers in the Triangle the selection of stores at White Oak certainly could be better but it doesn't seem to matter what we would like!
well realistically White oak is still in the early to mid range stage of growth.. Cabellas is going to produce a bigger push of growth in that area for sure.. seeing how the road infra structure will be done too.
I doubt very seriously that Target and BJ's will allow a grocery store on their side of the road. Bet they have something in their contract about it. I am hoping that they will be able to squeeze one in on the other side of the road where Cabelas is going.
I suspect it will actually go on the northwest corner of Timber and White Oak actually. Or across from Best Buy on the southwest corner of White Oak and 70. The northeast corner of 70 and White Oak is Cabelas and the new 7 story hotel, from White Oak to 40, 70 to the railroad tracks. I don't think there is much land left there.
