I was just laughing about this when I saw it on the news. It hasn't even started doing anything outside and they have already called off school?! WTH?! I guess everything really does shut down when there is a chance of snow! Crazy!
Reminds me of last year when we had a few flurries, and Greg "the clueless" Fishel was calling for 4-5 inches over night, and woke up the next morning to nothing but rain. The schools had called it due to weather reports and then were kicking their arse the next morning when all than happened was rain. Craig
It's not as if every school child lives on a well maintained road. Better the school board call it off early, and allow parents to plan for it, than to wait until the latest moment. My beef is that they usually wait until the last minute to announce, and then it's a wild scramble for a lot of parents to arrange alternate care.

I knew my daughter didn't have school and I didn't tell her, and put her to bed on time. :jester: But, she got me back at 3:30am when she woke me up and said I don't think I have school today there is snow out there.:evil: you have to come and see. Too funny! Mine were up at 6am and I can NEVER get them dressed & ready for school during the week. But today, all ready to go outside...URGHH!!!! I haevn't let htem go out yet and it's 8:36--LOL. I told them 9am and I have 7 snowballs w/ their names written all ove them. My husband's work was closed as well. So all home to play today. Can't wait. Our neighbors & us are all going sledding. I know what you mean, I have to yell and scream to get her going in the morning..this morning she was yelling and screaming at me to get her dressed for outside. 8am!!! Well, coming back in didn't go as well, her boot fell off at the neighbors house and she walked across their yard and the other neighbors yard to my house with no boot, just socks. I was so upset. She was crying and couldn't get the boot back on. So she has been under 2 blankets and hot cocoa and she is warm and snug now. It will be awhile before she goes back out lol. Sheri
