The annual Oakwood Cemetery Confederate Lantern Tour will be held on Saturday, October 25 from 6:00pm until 10:00pm. The tour will consist of 5 skits based on actual historical figures buried in Oakwood. Tour groups leave every 10-15 minutes and the entire tour lasts about one hour. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under. All proceeds go towards the continued preservation of Oakwood’s Confederate section. For more information PM me.

I've always wanted to go to this...but I'm chicken!

It's not scary at all. Just a series of skits to show a glimpse into the lives of the soldiers and families that lived through the Civil War. It's kid-friendly as well. My eight-year old went last year and had a good time.

Hopefully the rain will have already moved out by 6, but the Lantern Walk will be held regardless!
