Tell me about it.... they delivered last week at the house, and it went right into the trash. I keep one Johnston County phone book with the white pages and thats it. They brought piles of them shrink-wrapped and on a dolly into my office... umm.. nobody wants them.. they are still sitting in our front lobby. That is becoming one of the biggest wastes of paper.... :?
Well, it may be the last stages of a printed yellow pages ad.... I know of one version of the YP that laid off its employees and shut down two weeks ago. Really, how many of us use any version of YP, vs using "the google"? If the big newspaper in Denver is shutting down today, is there any doubt that print media is no longer what it once was? Information access is always moving forward.
Write you elected representative and ask for an opt out system. I have said this before, it is all very flawed. They make money off ads, the ads rates are based on circulation, the darn things are circulated to everyone even if you don't want one, and they pay delivery people per book delivered so naturally they'll throw one wherever they can. We have an opt out for junk mail and a do not call list, so...
Okay sooo...what's worse than getting these unwanted phone books is when you go to pick them up and there is pee pee all over the bag. :ack:
This is exactly how it works. To put into place a "do not litter my yard" list would negatively affect this industry. To be fair, they are moving towards online directories - but with google, et al I don't know how succesful they will be. Yellow Pages and online Yellow Pages might soon be a thing of the past.
They came by here a little while ago, and I told them to take them back, or I was going to put them in the recycle bin, so he took them back.
Sad but true...it is both good and bad for me personally... bad for right now but good for me in the future
Hey let's all collect them , keep them dry till July and get together and all throw them into a HUGH 4042 Bonfire!!!!!!!!
I dunno, I don't see "bonfire" as one of the options. Unless maybe you smoke? http://www.deathclock.com/
