I am looking between riccobene, sims amd lane. Any suggestions? i have a half of a tooth but I think it needs to go. this getting older crap stinks. I guess I will need a bridge or something....Lucky for me only in the back on one side. who the heck wants a woman with no back teeth? don't answer that......
IF you go to the SEARCH icon at the top, and put in 'dentist' alot of threads come up. I think you'll find these folks around here love Dr. Riccobene (self included).
Do not go to Lane and Assoc. DH went there a couple of weeks ago to have a tooth fixed, similar to your situation. And they gave him an insurance estimate, had him pay for some of it at his visit and told him what the insurance would cover. He paid, the insurance paid and then they sent a bill for us to pay. The "new" charges were almost a $100 more than the original estimate. I guess this is how they pay for their fancy offices. I have to see a dentiest soon and I'm planning to go to Ribbicone.
Cool! I still have a baby tooth and um....it sorta needs to come out as well. They werent designed to last 43 years.
Riccobene!!! or any of his dentists! My new favorite is Dr. Abernathy at the McGee's location. She is wonderful!
Riccobene girl here! And DH, and my sista, and her DH and my BIL and my SIL and... well you get the point. Heard his ad on 93.9 today on the way home.
Riccobene girl here, as well. He knows what he is doing, everyone in his office is professional and very friendly and I have not had any billing issues. Our whole family sees Dr. R and Dr. Brown and I highly recommend his practice.
Pepper....I can not stress this enough.....but DO NOT go to Lanes and Associates. They put me thru H*LL for the last year.
I definitly would suggest Lane and Associates! I went through the phone book and called about 20-25 different dentists, litterally, and they were hands down the cheapest. My husband was told he needed a root canal and the dentist we went to did not do that, so we went through and called a bunch of dentists to see who did and how much. Most people were trying to charge more than $1000.00 b/c it is a molar, but he only charged $850.00 which was so much cheaper. That was with the office visit and the root canal. Then when my husband got in there and the dentist saw him, he said that my hubby didn't even need a root canal and that he only needed the tooth buit back up b/c it too was half a molar. So he built his molar back up that very same day and my husband never even had to have a root canal which saved us a whole bunch of money and him a whole bunch of pain! That dentist could have very easily said he needed a root canal and charged us and then also charged us to build back up the tooth on top of the cost of the root canal! We have no dental insurance so thank God for Lane and Associates! Believe me I thought they were going to be outrageously priced because of their nice builing as well, but I thought I would just call them anyway and they weren't, they were the cheapest. We went to the one in Fuquay. Good luck with your tooth!!
Riccobene all the way, of course:-D As for Dr Lane - i would never go there again, had my youngest son there for awhile but when they refused to send xrays to the insurance company for preapproval of major work - i said forget it. They wanted me to just go ahead and pay up front and they were sure the insurance company would reimburse me even though my insurance company at that time required preapproval for any major work:shock: Guess who my son, my other son, my dil, my grandkids, my friends, etc., all go to now - DR. R.:-D
Not a member of the "riccobene cult" here. We love Dr. Calamos and Dr. Marsh. 660 Hwy 42 West, Clayton. 553-5652. But any poll on 4042 as concerns dentist recommendations will be a riccobene landslide. I just believe he is spread thin with all his offices.
I went to Lane & Assoc. in Angier. Their chairside manner was awful, they were unprofessional and the work they did (buiding up a tooth-the old build-up had fallen out) didn't even last the rest of the day. My old dentist had built it up the first time and it lasted years and years. Then I found Dr. Riccobene. He built up another tooth and it's lasted over a year now and it's doing great. He has a great chairside manner and has wonderful people working with him-friendly and very professional.
