Drug Suspect Claims "Magic" Helped Intruder Avoid Detection
Selma Police arrested a Smithfield couple after being called to the Masters Inn Motel about an intruder being in their room. Police arrived Wednesday night and searched the room and didn’t find the intruder, but did find powder cocaine. Kenneth Tyrell Holley, 24, of Kay Drive, Smithfield told officers the intruder was “using magic” so police could not see him. Holley, along with Anita Yvette Wright, 27, of the same address, were charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia. They were jailed under a $21,000 bond each.
