when the expected 30 to 40 % turn out and vote -- i sure don't want to hear from the 70 to 60% who failed to step up but think they know better -
Because I am rarely home on a Tuesday I have primarily used Absentee Ballot or Early Voting to execute my duty as a citizen of this country. I think I have actually voted on election day only two or three times in the last 8 years.
pardon my ignorance I'd like to go vote and this was on the 4042 calendar: Early Voting Friday, November 03, 2006 at 12 noon to 7 pm Early voting is being conducted at the JCC Workforce Center--135 Bestwood Drive--in Clayton. Bestwood is off Powhatan Road. Any registered voter in Johnston County may vote early at this site. Where is this place from say 40/42? Thanks.
Re: pardon my ignorance Take 42 to 70. Go East on 70, toward Smithfield. Just after you pass Talecris (pharmaceutical plant) turn left at the light onto Powhatan Rd. Then turn right on Best Wood Drive, just before you get to the railroad tracks. The Workforce Development Center is at the end of Best Wood -- you almost feel like you have gone too far before you get to it.
Early Voting is ONCE AGAIN OPEN at the Board Of Elections. Elections Building 205 S. Second Street Smithfield, NC 27577 Phone: 919-989-5095
Open 2 more days, I think. I think they close the early voting on Fri pm. to get ready for the election on Tues.
