Family member just starting on oxygen at home. We need to run the tubing across the floor at a door way. Is there a product on the market to protect oxygen tubing from damage from foot traffic?

Oxygen tubing is pretty tough stuff. I think I would be be worried about someone tripping on it. Why don't you ask the company that supplies the equipment? I am sure they have suggestions, or if the family member has home health, ask the nurse.

We used the black tape to secure it against the crease where the wall and floor meet. It helps with the risk of tripping as well as insulates it a bit.

We had it long enough that it ran from upstairs to down, all downstairs and on the back deck. Dogs and people walked over it with no problem. Everyone was aware it was around.

I agree they are tough. My mom would always get her line caught in her wheelchair and it never gave way.
