Okay, surely someone here is a resident expert?

I want one of these, and I thought, what a great idea. DH will never again have to try to figure out what to buy me, he can just buy me charms to add to my bracelet, right?

So I've been googling, and a gold bracelet is over a grand! I had no idea!

I guess I can wear silver, and just add the type of charms I want to cover up most of the silver, right?

Anyone have any great websites to buy from, or tips on getting started?

The silver charms start around $25.00 each, so I can imagine how much the gold ones are!

    I seen charms for $14.99 on Amazon.com

also, the Pandora beads fit on Chamilia, but not vice versa....I think. The Jewelry Warehouse carries Chamilia and their glass colored beads are alot of times, buy 2 get 2 free. I just bought some. I absolutely LOVE my bracelet.

once you add the bead, there is no work. LOL. I don't use the spacers. Each bead means something too, it's unique to you. I do have the bead that stops all the others from moving around on the bracelet....

    tassy has a pandora.....

I haz a Pandora... got mine for xmas.. so far all my authentic Pandora beads and the bracelet I have bought from DeWaynes. They have a customer appreciation card, and for every so much you spend ($250 I think), you get a $10 gift card. I do have a few non-Pandora beads I have picked up from Ebay that fit on the Pandora. Kell is right, real Pandora will fit on real Chamilia, but not vise-versa. There are plenty of beads to be found on ebay that will fit, Pandora, Troll, Chamilia and Biagi, none are authentic and they are just made so that they fit all the different bracelets.

Start-up on my bracelet was $275, I bought the silver bracelet with the Pandora clasp (not the lobster clasp), 2 clips (new from the fall line), a silver puffy heart charm, 2 silver charms with gold on them. Since xmas I've added 3 non-Pandora beads, and 4 more Pandora beads.... yeah.. they can be addictive. You should look up some of the "Retired" beads... cute cute cute! There are 2 bead-releases a year (Spring & Fall), and Dewaynes is hoping to have the new Spring beads in the beginning of April.

I have a few websites for knockoffs bookmarked at home on my laptop, I'll post them tonite.

The bead store in Smithfield near the outlets didn't have anything worth making the trip over. They had some glass beads (Lampwork beads), no silver core, and they were big & bullky looking compared to the other murano glass beads out there, but if thats what you like, they would fit on Pandora.

Dewaynes is also great because if you ask them, they will keep a "wish list" for you, and then anyone can go in and ask whats on your list to buy you a present. DH bought me a beautiful bead that was hard to find for Valentines Day, its a ball with red/orange enamel hearts on it.

yep, what Tassy said for the most part. The Jewelry Warehouse has a 'card' on me too, with everything I have on my bracelet. That way sweet pea doesn't duplicate. I have the box clasp too....the lobster would be difficult when it gets full. I LOVE IT! I got a heart bead too, for Valentines, but its solid silver with a swarzski (sp?) crystal embedded in it.

I googled DeWaynes, but can someone provide me with a practical answer as to about where they are located?

Oh, and KB, I LOVE that ring. Thanks so much for showing it to me. I really appreciate it. I'm sure that my DH who has never really had to buy jewelry is just going to love you.

DeWaynes is on that road running by the outlet malls in Smt, it's that garden center place on the right, before you get to the mall.
