I have to go to Raleigh on Wednesday. I have been subpoenaed to give testimony in an assault I witnessed while at work. I have to go to the courthouse at 300 S. Salisbury Street. I have never been there and do not know where the parking is. Would prefer free parking if possible.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

P.S. I have not been to downtown Raleigh in over 6 years

First of all, downtown Raleigh has come a long way in 6 years and you may enjoy some of the stuff going on down there. You just missed the Bluegrass Festival.

Moving on...You're not going to find free parking on a weekday, but the worst you'll see is $12 max for the day @ $3 per hour or a max of $8 @ $1 per hour.

I prefer the Wake County parking deck at Cabarrus and Dawson. $1 per 30 minutes, but always space and easy to get in and out of.

Good luck and make sure to ask your employer if they'll reimburse you!

Thanks for the information. And I already spoke to my company and they will NOT pay me for my time. Even though I am covering theirs and the hospitals butt.

You can find free on-street parking around the convention center on Lenoir or Cabarrus streets. It's a few blocks walk but you can usually find a spot if there isnt a show going on.
