Party ideas for 6yo

Okay, my kindergartner is having a party this coming weekend. Invitations sent out tomorrow. So, he wants a Diego party. I need some "Diego" ideas for a party for this age group. We thought about some kind of jungle treasure hunt w/ like gummy bugs as the prize at the end. Of course they'll be all the party goodies & cake. We thought about tryign to do something besides the treasure hunt though. Any ideas that you other parents can come up w/? Love to hear from you. My son absolutely LOVES Diego. Even made up our own Diego sign name--LOL. Keep ideas simple but fun for kindergartners. Thanks in advance.

how about an animal rescue, set up some clues for the animal and hide him in his own habitat

 

Instead of Hot potato - Musical Jungle Animal - Have the kids sit in a circle. Play a theme tune in the background. Hand an animal plush toy to one of the kids, and get her to pass it around while the music is playing.

When the music stops, the person holding the toy goes out of the circle and receives a prize!


Create an obstacle course in the backyard, and invite the party guests to complete it one at a time. They can hop like bunnies, gallop like horses, crab-walk like crabs, and so on. Or you could do two groups and make it a relay race.

Play theme version of "Duck, Duck, Goose" game. Diego, Diego, Baby Jaguar....

 

LOVE those ideas!!! We'll definitely use some of them. I looked online too but didn't find as much as I'd hoped to. Thanks for sharing. Should be an awesome party.
