When I was a kid, we trick-or-treated on the 31st. Now I have kids and I feel like every year I have to check if we're doing it on the 31st or has it been moved again due to convenience, religion or something else. So, it's the 31st this year,....right?
People always say they have to check, but we have been here 8 years and is always been OCt 31. Every year people check but its never been different.
Where are you from? By that, I mean where did you grow up trick-or-treating? The only reason to check which day trick-or-treat is on is if Halloween falls on a Sunday. Some communities around here feel its a bit sacrilege to hold what is generally accepted as a holiday celebrating evil on the Lord's day. Last year, Halloween fell on a Sunday. There was, of course, mass confusion as to what day trick or treating would be held. Before that, the last time Halloween was on a Sunday was back in 2004 (the same confusion).
