Superintendent Recommends Four for Administrative Positions SMITHFIELD-- The Johnston County Board of Education approved the following personnel recommendations made by Dr. Anthony Parker at the February Board meeting: Kenneth Bennett, Principal, South Campus Middle School Two-Year contract, effective March 1, 2006-June 30, 2008 Bennett replaces Candy Williams, who will begin her duties as the principal of the new Dixon Road Elementary School on March 1. Jonathan Knowles, Assistant Principal, Smithfield-Selma High School Temporary Contract, March 1, 2006-June 13, 2006 Butler Hall, Assistant Principal, South Smithfield Elementary School Temporary Contract, February 1, 2006-June 13, 2006 Hall replaces Carla Taylor, who was promoted to principal of the school last month. Former principal Brian Vetrano has been named principal of the new elementary school in the west Cleveland area. Lorine Davis, currently Executive Director of the Johnston County Education Foundation, will become a full-time employee of the Johnston County Schools. She will assist with grants, staff development, and other duties as assigned by the Superintendent. Her duties begin July 1, 2006.
